Private Client

By , About.com Guide

Definition:

Private Client is among several phrases used in the financial services industry to refer to a wealthy client. The exact amount of wealth involved is rather flexible, with the cutoffs varying by firm. See Private Banking.

Beware that some financial services firms used the phrase Private Client to name divisions that actually serve all individual clients, not just the wealthiest.

Also Known As: High Net Worth clients or individuals.
Examples: The Private Banking division of this firm is the center of its Private Client business.
