Definition: Anyone not defined as a Producer is, by contrast, a member of Support staff. While some members of Support staff can be highly compensated, exceeding the earnings of some producers (especially the less experienced or proficient producers), their earnings are generally more constrained on the upside. Additionally, in periods of belt tightening and layoffs, Support staff are the most expendable.
