The organizational culture appears to be one in which there is great mutual loyalty between management and employees. The employee benefit package is extensive, including on-site child care. Accordingly, USAA has won various awards regarding its desirability as a place to work, covering demographics ranging from former military personnel to Hispanic females.

Negatives: While having military experience or military connections is not required for employees, those without them may be at somewhat of a disadvantage in relating to the member base and in advancing.
