PricewaterhouseCoopers Overview: PricewaterhouseCoopers is one of the Big Four international public accounting firms. PricewaterhouseCoopers, headquartered in London, has a complex organizational structure with a number of independent member firms divided among functional and/or regional lines. Member firms are organized as partnerships. Its main lines of business include:

  • Assurance (Audit)
  • Advisory (Consulting)
  • Transactions (Mergers and Acquisitions)
  • Tax

Size: PricewaterhouseCoopers operates in over 150 countries and has offices in 33 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia. These figures are as of June, 2007:

  • Employees (worldwide) = 146,767
  • Employees (U.S.) = 31,631
  • Partners (worldwide) = 8,578
  • Partners (U.S.) = 2,151
  • Offices (worldwide) = 766

By 6/30/2010, total employees had grown to 162,000 and annual revenues were $26.6 billion.
