Ernst & Young Overview: Ernst & Young is one of the Big Four international public accounting firms. Ernst & Young, headquartered in London, has a complex organizational structure with a number of independent member firms divided among functional and/or regional lines. Member firms are organized as partnerships. Its main lines of business include:

  • Assurance (Audit)
  • Advisory (Consulting)
  • Transactions (Mergers and Acquisitions)
  • Tax

Size: Ernst & Young operates in 140 countries. These figures are as of June, 2007:

  • Employees (worldwide) = 124,335
  • Employees (Americas) = 40,635
  • Partners (worldwide) = 7,460

By 6/30/2010, total employees had grown to 141,000 and annual revenues were $21.3 billion.
