KPMG Overview: KPMG is one of the Big Four international public accounting firms. KPMG, headquartered in The Netherlands, has a complex organizational structure with a number of independent member firms divided among functional and/or regional lines. Member firms are organized as partnerships. Its main lines of business include:

  • Audit
  • Advisory (Consulting)
  • Tax

Size: KPMG operates in over 140 countries. These figures are as of June, 2007:

  • Employees (worldwide) = 123,000
  • Employees (U.S.) = 19,600
  • Partners (worldwide) = 7,000
  • Partners (U.S.) = 1,600
  • Offices (U.S.) = 93

By 9/30/2009, total employees had grown to 140,000 and annual revenues were $20.1 billion.
